I made it! I'm in Chile! I'm in Santiago for a few days touring and doing my orientation, and then on to Valpo and Vina for the rest of this adventure :)
I've only been in Santiago for a few hours, and I'm already having plenty of awkward situations (not a surprise to those who know me...) I tried to order coffee at a little cafe a few doors down from our hotel, and somehow messed even that up. We're doing some group activities this afternoon, so even though we'll be traveling in a pack (and thus looking like total tourists) we'll get more guidance on how to survive Chilean life!
